Valerie Krafft

Valerie Lynn Krafft, infant daughter of Barbara and Rustin Krafft of Eagle River, died July 2, 2007, at Providence Alaska Medical Center while surrounded by family members and friends.

A celebration of life was held Friday at Sitka Park in Anchorage.

Valerie was born June 27, 2007, in Anchorage.

Her family wrote that on “June 27, 2007, the Lord blessed our family with the arrival of Valerie Lynn Krafft. For the next five days, she touched our lives like no other person ever has or ever will. Although her life was short by Earthly measure, it was great in its power to bring people together.”

Besides her parents, Valerie is survived by her sisters, Margaret and Carlee of Eagle River; grandparents, Barbara “Sue” and Gary Tvrs of Dalton, Neb., and Sandra and Carl Krafft of Green Bay, Wis.; great-grandmother, Wilma Krafft of Morris, Ill.; and aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.

A memorial fund will be established at Northrim Bank with donations going to the Children’s Hospital at Providence.

Arrangements were by Evergreen’s Eagle River Funeral Home.
