Cari Jamieson of Eagle River was awarded a $2,000 President’s Scholarship from Western Washington University in Bellingham, Wash., for the 2007-2008 academic year. Jamieson is a 2007 graduate of Chugiak High School, where she was a member of the National Honor Society. She was also a Junior Nordic ski coach, a Girl Scout and a Presidential Scholar candidate. She plans to major in mathematics at WWU. She is the daughter of Odette and Gary Jamieson.
